Sustainability Celebration

The Sustainability Celebration took place on September 17, 2013.  Thank you to Alcoa Warrick Operations for sponsoring this wonderful event! Over 17 booths were present, and over 150 community members attended at Wesselman Nature Center. This celebration kicked-off the school year with a chance for educators, students, and community members to learn about local resources from businesses who are environmental leaders within our community.  Teachers gained field-trip ideas, learned about upcoming community events and even helped to enter their students in local contests.

Congratulations to our four Essay Contest Winners!  The theme of the Essay Contest was “How to Inspire your Friends and Family to Recycle?"
