Airport Gateway Project - How to Apply
Artists interested in this project must prepare and submit the following:
- Letter of Proposal: The letter should introduce the artist or each of the artists, state their connection to/personal knowledge of the Tri-State Region, explain the design proposal and provide a commission budget.
- Current Resume: If submitting as a team, a current resume should be submitted for each team member.
- Images of Artist's/Artists' Work: Each artist participating in the proposal should provide three to four images of works in similar scope; should the artist not have created works to the scope of the proposal, images that represent the artist's work are acceptable. Images should be labeled with the artist's name, a title or description, size, date, medium, location, and if a commissioned project, the commission budget.
- Images of the Proposed Sculpture: Acceptable imagery would include detailed illustrations, in both printed image no smaller than 8 by 10 inches and digital files in 300ppi jpg format.
- References: A list of three professional references that have an intimate knowledge of artist's/artists' work and working methods. The list must include complete addresses and telephone numbers.
- Optional: The artists may include up to three selections of support materials such as reviews, news article, and other related information.
